Love it, love it, LOVE IT. Honestly, there are so many of these kids machines out there that are just complete junk. It seems like many companies cheap out on their kids versions of their machines, and it shows. While the Starburst isn't marketed towards kids, per-se, it is definitely THE all-in-one package I'd recommend for your young ones due to its sturdy construction, ease-of-use and fun features.
Bluetooth-ready for fun, wireless connectivity (no trip hazards!)
An array of controllable LED light options.
Find me a kid (or parent) who doesn’t enjoy voice effects. This one comes with a bunch you can choose from, including extra sound effects too.
Two microphones included (sleepover parties — CHECK ✓)
What I Loved About The Singsation Starburst
Owing to the nature of small children, nothing they own ever really remains stationary. For this reason it makes sense for the unit you choose for your kids to be portable, lightweight and durable.
The Singsation Starburst is great for taking to parties, gatherimgs, holidays – you name it.
Fun Lighting Options
There are an array of LED lights on the front, and these can be controlled using via the machine. I’ll be honest — for the price, the effects are super impressive.
They can fill up most room sizes with ease, and add a lot of vibe to the experience. Your kids are GUARANTEED to love them, trust me!
Ease of Use
Kids want a toy they can quickly set up and start using, and they tend to get frustrated very quickly if their project is too difficult or if it takes too long. So, it should be very user-friendly, and very easy to operate.
The fewer switches, options, and buttons on your kid’s machine, the better off you’ll be because they’ll be able to set it up quickly and get the most out of their new karaoke machine.
The Singtrix Starburst is just that — enough bells and whistles like lights to keep them entertained, but without having so many confusing dials that it detracts from the fun.
You’ll want to help your kid with how to pair the machine up to your phone or tablet, which is like a 10 second process.
Once that’s done, away you go! The Bluetooth connectivity is strong — we had no dropouts, and were able to start jamming out our favorite karaoke songs on Youtube in no time at all.
It also works with all the popular karaoke apps too!
It’s A STEAL!
If you’re in the market to get your kid a karaoke machine, it’s important to be mindful of their naturally destructive behavior. The price point on the Singsation Star Burst is relatively low, which not only makes it great for kids, but it’s also a very thoughtful gift that won’t break the bank.
So yeah — you can sleep safe knowing that if they wreck the thing it’s not going to be a massive blow to the bank account.
That being said — we do recommend adult supervision and some careful parenting on how to properly use the device so that it lasts as long as it should!
This brings me to my next point — durability. Safe to say we’ve tried a whole bunch of “kids machines”, and well to be honest — a lot of them either ended up in the trash or back at the Amazon warehouse. I’m not going to name names, but — you’ll see that this is commonplace with some of the cheaper (under $50 machines out there).
Price shouldn’t be a benchmark of quality, but unfortunately often times it is. And what I’ve ound in my experience, is that for karaoke machines, you don’t want to be spending lower than $60, or you’re just going to end up with a hunk of junk.
The price point to quality on the Singsation Star Burst is actually super impressive — parts feel durable, non-plasticky and construction overall is well-built.
What I Didn’t Like About The Singsation Star Burst
Could Be Louder
OK, if there’s one complaint I have to make about it (and it is a bit nitpicky), it’s that it isn’t super loud.
I’ll level with you though — it’s more of a good than a bad thing LOL.
Honestly, there are so many of these so-called “kids machines” out there that are just complete junk. It seems like many companies cheap out on their kids versions of their machines, and it shows, because they end up back at the warehouse where I bought them, or in the bin!
While the Starburst isn’t marketed towards kids, per-se, it is definitely THE all-in-one package I’d recommend for your young ones and teenagers due to its sturdy construction, ease-of-use and fun features.
Hell, if I got one of these as a present in my teens or even twenties, I’d be over the moon!
